Organized labor hit the pavement Saturday in an effort to get out the vote for Democratic presidential nominee Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill.

The United Steel Workers organized get-out-the-vote block walk and rally. Labor leaders told their union members that despite Obama's big lead in the polls, they can't get complacent.

They said if Obama loses western Pennsylvania, he could lose the state and the election. 

"I don't want to put too much pressure on you today, but don't walk past any doors you should be knocking on," said Leo Gerard, the president of the union. "Knock on every door. Do everything you can do."

In addition to knocking on doors, union members also worked the phones urging support for Obama.
